ISIS has claimed responsibility for the London terror attack which occurred Saturday night.
SITE Intelligence Group said ISIS propaganda outlet – Amaq News Agency – confirmed this in a statement on their website.
It translated the statement in which ISIS confirmed that a “detachment” of its fighters carried out the atrocity, in which seven people were killed and 48 were wounded.
The group said the incident was in line with the call on its followers to carry out increased terror attacks around the world during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.
The three attackers, yet to be officially named, were shot dead at the scene by police.
ISIS had claimed responsibility for the Manchester and Westminster attacks.
British Prime Minister, Theresa May, in her reaction to the latest attack, said it’s “time to say enough is enough”
May said the people must “deprive the extremists of their safe spaces online” and that technology firms were not currently doing enough.
“We cannot allow this ideology the safe space it needs to breed – yet that is precisely what the internet and the big companies that provide Internet-based services provide,” Ms May said.
“We need to work with allies democratic governments to reach international agreements to regulate cyberspace to prevent the spread of extremist and terrorism planning”.
