Al-Shabab kill 6 in Northeast Kenya attack

At least six people have been killed by suspected al-Shabab militants in an attack in north-east Kenya, BBC reports.

According to Ali Roba, governor of Mandera County, one person had also been seriously injured in the attack.

Roba said security operatives have been able to save 27 other people present at a public work site.

Kenya’s Daily Nation says the attack targeted “non-locals”.
