He commended ideal Nursery/Primary school for maintaining the infrastructure being put in place for both the pupils and members of staff by the government and donors.
The executive secretary(ES) Amuwo Odofin Mr Badmus hailed the donation as an uncommon gesture coming from a legislator at the local government level. He called on the private sector to maintain steady partnership with political office holders like the councillor in order to forge educational standard in the local government. He further appreciated the former local government chairman Comrade Ayodele Adewale whom he recognised as a stakeholder who played a major role in revamping the school while he was in office as the executive chairman.
The immediate past Executive Chairman Comrade Ayodele Adewale who was the special guest at the program wasted no time in expressing his profound joy at the maintenance of items donated to the school while he was the council boss after taking a walk round the premises and recounted his glorious days in office where he donated borehole facility with treatment plant to the school. He did not mince words in administering how Ideal Nursery/Primary school benefitted from furniture sets donated to schools within the local government during his tenure to include Mahogany desks/chairs and office furniture. The erstwhile council boss encouraged the management to maintain the enviable height of maintenance culture without compromising standards while further entrenching veritable means of investing heavily on the pupils to become better people in the society as they grow.
Comrade Ayodele who lamented the state of affairs of the council decried the outright neglect of basic infrastructure by the local government on schools in Amuwo Odofin as a farcry compared to what was obtainable during his tenure and assured staffs, students and parents present that succour is coming the way of the local government very soon. In his words “competence should not be sacrificed on the altar of the love for an individual”.
While addressing gentlemen of the press, he admonished Honourable Adewunmi to keep up the good work and shun any form of distraction he might be encountering at the moment.
Honourable Adewunmi Ogunshina while addressing invitees, members of staff and pupils thanked God Almighty for taking him thus far despite various challenges currently bedeviling his term as a legislstor in Amuwo Odofin.
