Cristiano Ronaldo flaunts Chinese MVP award amidst transfer speculation


Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo has been named the Chinese player of the year amidst transfer speculation.

The Portuguese hero added another laurel to his fold as he won another player of the year to add to his numerous awards this season.

Ronaldo took to the social media to show off his recognition, with a caption that reads: ‘Thanks for the support of Chinese fans. Glad to be the 懂球帝(All Football) 2016 best player.’

Prior reports have it that the 31-year-old star could be heading to the Far East despite signing a mega deal with Real Madrid last year.

According to Don Balon, Real president Fiorentino Perez believes Ronaldo has past his prime and wants to sell him in 2019.

Cristiano beat his fierce rival, Lionel Messi to win the Ballon D’or and FIFA best player of the award after a successful year for both club and country.
