# How do lobsters grow? Yea I didn’t really care how they grow either until I heard this explanation. Lobsters are soft and mushy under the shell (and quite tasty). As the lobster grows the shell becomes quite confining and causes it to be uncomfortable and possibly stressful. So to grow it casts off the old shell and grows a completely new one. It does this a number of times in its lifecycle to grow. So here’s the thing, the stimulus for growth is stress and uncomfortability (that’s not a word is it? Oh well). Rabbi Abraham Twerski breaks it down in an interesting way. “If Lobsters had doctors they would never grow because as soon as the lobster feels uncomfortable it goes to the doctor and gets a Valium and feels fine and never sheds off it’s shell. So the thing to realise is that times of stress are signals for growth, we can grow through adversity. “ From brides of Eyo editorial Styling by Funmi Fagbemi Model Maggi Sarai Make up by Tamara Crockett. #love #art #asiko #potd #photooftheday #photography #picoftheday #instagramhub #instahub #igdaily #instadaily #igers #instamood #instaart #model #girl #portrait #instagram #style #inspiration #artist #nigeria #beauty #eyo #bridesofeyo
