According to sources, Toyin who was a food vendor at the popular Tipper garage at Isinkan quarters, Akure, was found dead in her room with calabashes containing concoction and charms.
It was gathered that the food vendor who is a divorcee had already finished cooking for the day but did not come out as at 6 am for business as was her habit.
The development forced her curious neigbbours to break her door open and found her lifeless body inside the room with two calabashes containing concoction and charms.
It was learnt that when her phone was checked by neighbours they discovered that she made calls to a contact registered as ‘Alpha’ on the phone at exactly 1am and 3am consecutively.
One to her neighbours said,
“By 6am, she would have come out and started selling food to the people, but we did not see her early this morning,” she said.
“We decided to check her room, and knocked the door but she failed to open. So, we broke the door. It was then we discovered her dead body with two calabashes containing some concoctions and charms near her lifeless body in the room.
“One of us was meticulous enough to quickly check her mobile phone; we discovered she called a number saved as ‘Alfa’ at 1am of midnight.”
She was also said to have been preparing for the pending court case scheduled for April 18, with her divorced husband over who should take charge of the children.
