The issue of racism is a serious topic in the world especially following the treating and the use of word against people of color especially and the representation of the black people, following the recent issue with H&M using a “little sweet black boy” to model a hoodie with the slogan “coolest monkey in the jungle” and a white boy modeled another piece with the slogan ‘a jungle survivor’, maybe an innocent mistake, maybe a deliberate act, the world is furious at this at the moment and many celebrities are speaking out on this act of racism and neglect.
Though H&M has apologised for using a black child to model a hoodie with the slogan “coolest monkey in the jungle”. The fashion house has removed the photo from its online store and replaced it with a photo of just the hoodie after it was heavily criticised on social media.
A lot of people slammed the photo calling it shameful and disgusting. Outraged shoppers took to Twitter to complain, along with many celebrities including The Weeknd who decided to cut ties with the brand.
