Though its Tuesday today but memories of Saturday we cannot forget anytime soon because it was a good and interesting day, the day the kids walk the runway thrilling parents and other kids making them wish they’re on the runway too like the kids on the runway, everybody enjoyed themselves.
Lagos Kids Fashion Show the first edition which took place at Golden Tulips in Festac Town on Saturday is the gossip of this week in schools and on the street as some of the kids are still flashing back to the different interesting moment they had, from the Sax guy opening the show, Wale Sax and artist like Blackface singing to the kids in the colorful room while the kids walk on the runway. The MC of the event Cyclone made the event interesting and fun, it was not boring, Feresise, Sammy Yo, Kokokkid and Louwy made it even more fun.
The music and the personality at the event compliment the craft of the designers that came to showcase their designs, for many adults there they wish to be child again because these kids came with their A-game just as the designers wanted it, Orchas Kiddies wears came with a different twist to the runway, her collections brought the kids to life and up their confidence bringing the vibe of being a child.
Poshest Clairdom and her kids stole the show in a different way, they thrilled the audience with their vibe and energy on the runway, they made mothers scream, even the kids in the audience, her designs are modern and attractive. Weckx designs tap into the vibe of kids to create designs that the kids love and enjoy wearing it even as they walk, Vidop, Cacaliciouse tapped into the African vibe to create pieces that connect us to our root but carry the design and attitude of this present age and D’Ellaz came with a twist of the western vibe.
Not just the designers that made the show memorable, all thanks to the representative of the Commissioner of Tourism Art and Culture of Lagos State, Mrs Ojemakinde, Local Government Chairman Engr. Valentine Buraimoh, our sponsors and supporters too.
Though when the show came to an end the kids don’t want it to end, they remained in the hall dancing and walking on the runway as their parents try to convince them to go home and that was how we spent our weekend, you don’t want to miss the next edition.
