It was last week reported that many Nigerian acts posted series of prayers on on social media for safe return of ace comedian, Julius Agwu who was receiving treatment abroad after allegedly suffering a relapse from a brain surgery he had two years ago and it seems their prayers have been answered fast enough.
Julius Agwu, the humour merchant who hasn’t recorded any post on his Instagram handle since August of last year, about the same time he was readmitted, made the announcement of his return on Saturday on his handle by simply saying “Awesome God”. Immediately there were torrents of goodwill wishes.
In September of last year, his manager reacted to allegation that he suffered a relapse by saying the comedian only went for a routine check up. “It’s nothing serious. Julius just went for a check up. He was grounded on routine visit to the doctor on Friday because he hadn’t been having enough rest as prescribed by the doctor” he said.
But the comedian has been missing in action from August to January and with prayers pouring in on regular basis from his colleagues, it is obvious what he went for was more than a routine medical check up. Thank God he’s back. And with a picture of his daughter and the post “Thanks to awesome God” we welcome back the “Crack ya Ribs” master.
