Koffi Olomide performs at first concert since release from jail

According to Tuko Kenya, the rhumba star who was recently released from jail made an appearance at Fally Ipupa’s 10 years of music concert which held in Brazzaville, Congo over the weekend.

Late last month, Olomide was freed on bail in Kinshasa, Congo, after he was arrested for kicking his female singer in Kenya.

Recall that after the 60-year-old Congolese singer was captured on camera attacking a female dancer, Kenyans demanded for his arrest and deportation and hours later, he was kicked out of the east African country.

After the weekend performance, Koffi Olomidetook to his social media to apologise to Kenyans and ask that Olomide, whom he calls a father be forgiven for that act of violence against a female in Kenya.

Meanwhile, the 60-year-old singer, who had previously been handed a 3-month suspended sentence of attacking his producer, faces up to 6 months in jail if convicted of the new crime.
