A Nigerian model with tribal marks has expressed joy after pop star, Rihanna, followed her on her Instagram page.
This is certainly a major feat for the model, identified as Adetutu, who had earlier appealed to Twitter users to help tag the Barbadian-born singer, actress, and businesswoman to gain her attention.
She excitedly wrote on her Instagram page,
“And the Queen follow me…. 😭😭😭😭
“Thanks so much @badgalriri I can’t wait to get a message from your management soon and thanks so much every one who helped me get to this stage…. My confidence level got boosted more…. Dreams come true!!!! Dreams come true!!!”
So far, she’s gotten over 12k retweets thanks to well-meaning Nigerians who bombarded social media platforms with her request.
Adetutu wrote on her Twitter page;
“I have been doing this campaign to get through @rihanna on all my social media handle… Yeah.. I have tribal marks and want to model for her.
“I need my Nigerian peeps to help get through to her. Please,🙈🙏🏽🙈 #RetweeetPlease #retweet.”
A quick check on her Instagram page reveals that Adetutu has desperately nursed the dream of modelling for Rihanna who owns a cosmetics brand called Fenty Beauty.
In series of post, Adeturu had shared a side by side photo of her and Rihanna on her IG page with captions like,
“Day 8 of 31
“My wish is to model for Rihanna.@badgalriri
“Don’t blame me for aiming too high. Dreams come true.
“Can y’all please help mention @badgalriri please.”
