In a viral video, soldiers can be seen at a nursing school in Ihiala, Anambra state.
After a gun battle at an APGA gubernatorial election event in the village, military forces reportedly invaded the school in pursuit of gunmen.
Residents passing by the school were spotted lifting their hands to demonstrate that they did not carry a weapon. Students from the school were also seen rushing before a gunshot was fired at one point in the footage.

In other news, on Tuesday, October 12, a High Court in Minna, Niger State, ordered Alhaji Mohammed Barau Kontagora to stop claiming to be the 7th Sarkin Sudan of Kontagora.
On Wednesday, October 6, the Niger State Government named Mohammed Barau Kontagora as the Seventh Emir (Sarkin Sudan) of Kontagora. The decision came after the court heard an ex-parte motion filed by 15 candidates for the throne.

The new emir, Mohammed Barau Kontagora, the Attorney General of Niger State, and the Commissioner for Local Government, Community Development, and Chieftaincy Affairs were named as defendants in the motion.
The Judge, Justice Abdullahi Mikailu restrained the first defendant, Mohammed Barau Kontagora, from parading himself as the 7th Emir “pending the hearing and determination of the plaintiff/applicants’ Motion on notice dated and filed on 11/10/2021.”
“An order of interim injunction is hereby made and issued retraining all the defendants/respondents, their agents, privies and/or any other person by whatever name called acting on the authorities or persons claiming and/or parading or presenting or installing the 1st defendant by presenting a staff of office as the 7th Sarkin Sudan of Kontagora pending the hearing and determination of the plaintiffs/applicants’ motion on notice dated and filed on 11/10/2022.” the court ruled.
W. Y. Mamman Esq, the plaintiffs’ lawyer, has asked the court to stop the Barau from impersonating the 7th Emir. The case will be rescheduled for October 20, 2022.
