So the world celebrated World Down Syndrome Day yesterday and Moyinoluwa Rainbow Learning Center made it even more special as they celebrate Down Syndrome Day, a two day event that started with a walk around the community of Festac and today rounding it up, the center brought the community together to educate them about people living with Down Syndrome and what parent with child living with this condition should know. Like Tola Makinde the proprietress and creative director of the center and many other speakers said, early diagnosis is the key and not to hide the child even after the diagnosis, bring them out and give them the best social life that will educate them and better their condition.

Sometimes you never know what you can learn from the next person or a situation, for most of the parent it was a depressing situation giving birth to these kids but most of them found love in their heart after they’ve healed and gone past the stage of denial and these kids of theirs have thought them the qualities they never thought they possess.

The aim of this celebration is to tell the world and the society that we did not make us, God made us and that’s the best we’ve got, and we are all created for a reason, these kids are been given birth to this world for a reason and all we can do to help them is to help them discover their dreams and goals in life and support them like you’ll support what the society will call a normal child, we are all normal and they are beautiful with great dreams, don’t waste them, help them and make this world a better place.
