Tyson Fury returns to boxing

The former heavyweight champion, Tyson Fury, has announced that he will make a return to the boxing ring on May 13.He has not fought since his victory over Wladimir Klitschko back in 2015 and there were serious doubts over whether he would ever come back to the sport.

On Tuesday evening, however, Fury informed his Twitter followers that they should look forward to his return in the summer.

‘”Breaking news” Return of the MAC, may 13th, working on an opponent more news to follow,’ the 28-year-old British boxer confirmed.

Fury was scheduled for a much-anticipated rematch with Klitschko last year but the fight was cancelled as a result of injuries and drug offences.

The outspoken Brit was forced to vacate his his heavyweight belts which led to Anthony Joshua’s super-fight with Klitschko at Wembley Stadium at the end of April.

A tweet from Fury on Tuesday morning hinted that he would announce his return to the ring imminently.
