Swizz Beats and Alicia Keys’ son is showing that musical prowess runs in the family. Swizz posted a video of his 2-year-old boy Genesis beatboxing. The young child clearly has some innate talent, so don’t be surprised if he follows in mom and dad’s footsteps.
Genesis might be able to help out his father at the upcoming Ruff Ryders reunion show. Swizz will be joining DMX, Eve, The L.O.X. and Drag-On at the event, which is scheduled to take place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on April 21. If all goes well, a reunion tour seems inevitable.
Outside of the Ruff Ryders reunion, Swizz is trying to create more special hip-hop moments by setting up a battle between Funkmaster Flex and DJ Clue. Flex seemed excited about the potential battle while DJ Clue wanted to make sure the money was right before he jumped into the fray.
“I told Swizz exactly what I wanted for the situation to happen,” Clue wrote on Instagram last month. “The short video above is me tired of talking 45 mins about the same sh*t..send the bag and let’s get to it. They said ‘Bring your best work Album Cuts & Freestyles’. Shawn Carter & Swizz just called me on 3 way. I’m not bout that talk life when it comes to getting to work. Send the bag..it’s ago.”
